Why I pay attention to stuff

During the week of Christmas there were more than a few gift exchanges in our diner. One in particular was extremely boisterous ; many presents were unwrapped and heaps of wrapping paper made its way back to my trash can in the bus tubs.
What also made its way back to my station in the bus tubs were Krispy Kreme gift tags. Apparently if you patronized K.K. during November you got some free gift tags that were ALSO free donut coupons.
I picked every single one of them out of the bus tubs, and have had a free donut whenever I felt like stopping. K.K. is ON MY WAY HOME, not a single foot out of my way.
So I went in tonight to get a donut and they gave me MORE COUPONS! Two packs of Valentines that are also free donut coupons!
They are like the valentines you gave in elementary school, only on one side they say "Good for one free donut".
I know they want you to get in there and buy a whole slew of donuts but I am happy to pick up my one free donut each day that I feel I need one.
So... this is cool.
I went to meet CL#4. she's very nice. She came here from somewhere else to take care of her ailing grandmother and when her gramma passed away a year ago she inherited the house, car etc.
Must be nice.!
she seems ok. At least she voted for Obama. Although she said she was doing errands yesterday and didnt' see the inauguration. At all. Well, at least she said she did WANT to.
