If the rock has your name on it...

When I heard that a 9/11 victim's widow had been killed in a plane crash last night, it got me to thinking about how scary the universe can be sometimes... imagine,if you will, having had your spouse die in the September 11 attacks (I haven't read her accounts yet, but I'm sure i will now) only to die on a plane crash. What was she feeling? "So, this is how it ends after all..." was she scared to fly? ugh. I just don't want to think about a plane flight, almost to the airport: wing flaps down and ...the plane starts to pitch and roll. It must have been absolutely terrifying. I don't wish to even think about it very much.
And it reminded me of driving to and from Sedona every Wednesday for an AA meeting with friends: we used to get a bit nervous about the rocks we'd see on the side of the road and all the signs saying "Watch for falling rocks".
One very wise person in the vehicle once said "Listen. If that rock has your name on it, it might miss the car, but it's going to roll UP HILL to Flagstaff, and crush your head while you lay sleeping in bed."
I have often thought of that while in certain situations that are frightening. "If that rock has your name on it..."
