I know someone that answers their phone that way. "Hello, moto..."
Soon I will be at my sister's apartment. I do not like going over there. Nor do I enjoy going to my brother's.
My sister is a caregiver for the elderly. My sister does NOTHING that is not self serving. When she called me a few weeks ago to tell me she had found a phone for me, I knew it was not to help me but to help her client, to make my sister look good in her client's eyes.
Client 'x' is old as dust. Somehow 'x' got talked into buying a Motorola cell phone. With contract.
'x' understandably cannot figure out the phone and wants nothing to do with it. My sister has managed to get her to give me the phone, and I take over the contract. My sister tells me I get all the rollover minutes that have accrued on the phone in the last three months.
I'm going over to get the phone tonight. I dread it. Cell phones and I do not get along, I have the hardest time figuring out how to make them do all the things they do.
The phone I have now, is a "GO" phone. The crappiest cell phone I've had, and I've had about four now.
This Samsung go phone sucks my butt. I'm hoping with all my heart that the Motorola allows me to HEAR who is talking to me, allow THEM to hear me, and I'm also hoping it will ring more than twice before going to voice-mail.
I'm hoping it has a game or two on it, as well as an alarm clock and maybe, even, a camera.
I'd really like to move into the twenty-first century and have a decent cell phone. I think the phone was pretty expensive, it will be good to not have to buy one.
Anyhow... made my amends to my brother last night. He doesn't want me to pay him back for what I owe until I get a better job.
And, he thinks I might be getting the Cavalier soon. It would be nice to be driving a car with airbags.
Also one with rear defrost. I can't see for shit out of the back window of this truck when it's raining or foggy... it's pretty dangerous with the camper shell on, too... the blind spots are horrendous.
And the lack of ABS brakes. And the rear wheel drive. I have done a one-eighty just on a wet road near here... they get slicker than snot on a doorknob in the rain.
And I wasn't going very fast either, about twenty-five mph.
Nothing much going on, I heard from 'Cousin Colin in Glasgow' today. I really must think about going to Scotland to visit first Holly, then get her to amble over to Glasgow and the Highlands with me to meet my newfound relatives.
We should plan it.
It would be such an adventure as I never had before!
