So. I went out today with a to-do list and came back with baked Doritos, spinach dip, and two-bite pumpkin tarts.
I had coupons to Firestone & Great Clips but apparently those two companies can't handle the Sunday business generated by the coupons so I was met with frustration. Firestone dude took ten minutes to tell me he could not get me in today. He could have told me that before I waited ten minutes at the counter.
Great Clips... I went in and there was a lobby full of kids and their mom, and no one at the counter, just haircutters cutting and ignoring walk-ins. I stood there long enough to bite off two nails, examine the prices on all the hair goop, and then i walked the fuck out. Disgusted.
Then I went to the AT&T store for help with my blackjack's settings but they didn't help, I have to come back tomorrow when the guy can call HIS technical help.
So that trip was an entire bust but on my way home I decided to get some chips and dip.
And, then I thought, let's go to the STAR market and see if cool chick is working (cool chick from Rocky Horror that I thought was so awesome and I never went to see her at work like I told her I would) and she was!
When I rounded the corner and saw her standing there behind the counter she got the biggest grin and so did I.
I nodded and she came over and hugged me! And so I was so glad to see her I was not able to hold a conversation! She asked me if I was working on any shows and I couldn't remember the name of the damn script I had gotten from G... but somehow I got my mouth around the words Noel Coward and she knew what I was talking about.
We talked for a good five minutes! And I got her e-mail address! And I was glowing all the way home. It was so awesome to see her, I had to resist the urge to email her from the parking lot on my Blackjack, lol.
Aw, I'd almost forgotten how awesome she is, and thanks to an article I read this morning about connecting with people, I got the nerve up to go see if she was working and I'm SO HAPPY I did. She likes me, eh, I mean, people don't bound over to you and hug you all the time on this planet.
Weeeee!
*sigh*
I emailed her and asked if she'd like to go for coffee sometime. I hope she says yes. I have missed her wit. She's so funny she had me laughing in that short five minutes.
I'm tickled pink. And now I'm going to ... eat baked Doritos, with spinach and artichoke dip, and drink Ginger Ale and watch a movie. tee hee!
