Ok, I got the job at Landry's... but she says it will be thirty plus hours. Thirty four hours at eight bucks an hour is less a week, before taxes, than I making now. After taxes... I'm not sure I shouldn't reconsider and hold out for a forty hour job.
I might have it better than I previously realized, what with paying paid under the table.
AND making nearly forty hours. If I try to hold out for higher wages or more hours, will I find something?
I'm so going to have to think carefully on this one. If I take the job (I told them yes, but you know, I have three days to consider) I'll be working two jobs for two weeks.
If I give two weeks notice at my job ...then hate Landry's... or realize I won't be getting enough hours... maybe my boss will let me stay on for a couple days.
Oh hell. I wish she'd said I'd be getting more hours.
